HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR WAX

  • Gently exfoliate prior to prep the skin before your wax, this will help prevent ingrown hairs.

  • Shower prior to your appointment.

  • Wear breathable, cotton underwear or loose bottoms to your appointment for maximum comfort.

  • Resist the urge to shave between sessions.

  • Your hair must be at least ¼-inch long about the size of a grain of rice. If longer than ½ inch, you may want to trim it slightly, so the wax is able to grip my better.

  • No alcohol or caffeine prior to your appointment. Both can cause your pores to tighten and make waxing more painful.

  • Know that it gets better.

  • Take an over-the-counter pain reliever about 30 minutes before your appointment to help lessen pain.

  • Avoid tanning for at least 24 hours before yourself appointment, as this can cause the skin to be more sensitive.

WAXING AFTERCARE

  • Avoid touching treated area for 48 hours.

  • No hot showers or baths (use cool to lukewarm water)

  • Wear clean, loose fitting clothes.

  • No exfoliating for 72 hours. After exfoliate twice a week.

  • Avoid working out or swimming for at least 24 hours.

  • No tanning, sunbathing,sun beds, or fake tans.

  • Avoid swimming pools, saunas, jacuzzis, and spa environments.

  • Only apply products recommended by your therapist.
